As you know towards the end of the summer term, work will begin on the new swimming pool roof and therefore all the parking bays around the front of school will be removed. This will be challenging for us especially at the beginning and end of each day where parents pick up and drop off students and therefore we are asking you to consider your practice now in order to alleviate potential congestion when the work begins.
The health and safety of our students and staff moving around the school car park /front of school has to be a priority especially when at times we have parents rushing to park or leave the site.
Therefore, we ask that you observe the speed limit and signage across the site and park considerately with safety in mind at all times. When students are dropped off in the morning, we ask that this is done between the entrance and exit gates; avoiding coming into the main car park.
Conversely, at the end of the school day, students are not to be collected from inside the school gates unless by prior arrangement. You will appreciate that the exit of 1900 students from the site makes the school very busy.
As we get closer to the time of the building work beginning, we will be able to alert you further to how the front of the site will work.
We appreciate all your help in supporting us to ensure that our site is a safe place for students and staff during the busiest times of the day.
