Due to the internal promotion of the current postholder we are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and approachable person to lead our Student Services Team at Wildern School from earlyJuly. The role involves supporting staff and students in sustaining positive behaviour management across the school.
This role is an exciting opportunity to work with youngsters and parents in supporting their progress and integration in school. The successful candidate will need very good interpersonal skills and be confident in dealing with students, staff and parents on a day-to-day basis.
We are looking for someone who;
â€¢ Has a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of current and best practice for working with students with SEMH or behavioural needs.
â€¢ Can build excellent working relationships with students, which allow them to communicate their challenges and overcome them.
â€¢ Can support the emotional needs of students in line with school policies.
â€¢ Can model best practice for and with students who present with complex, challenging behaviour in school.
â€¢ Can support staff with individual students developing and demonstrating strategies for inclusion.
â€¢ Can work alongside SLL for Pastoral to monitor and analyse the impact of student behaviour with a view to reduce significant behaviour incidents.
â€¢ Can work as part of a very well established pastoral team in improving the outcomes for students though high levels of attendance and engagement in their learning.
â€¢ Has experience of working with external agencies to ensure all students have full access to educational opportunities and are able to overcome barriers to learning.
â€¢ Has the professional skills and knowledge to develop effective relationships with parents, students and other professional colleagues.
â€¢ Can assist in the development and delivery of educational support packages with students and their families.
â€¢ Can work with families in challenging circumstances.
