Rights Respecting School

RRR Logo

Wildern is a Level 2 UNICEF accredited Rights Respecting School. This means that the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) are at the heart of everything that we do.

Students at Wildern learn across the curriculum and through the extra curriculum programmes, that every child is born with  rights they are inherent.  Rights and respect go hand in hand and students understand that our rights should be fulfilled and we must respect them.

Wildern is a school in which students and staff work together as a partnership.  Examples of this can be seen through Summit, Student Observers of Learning (SoLs), Student Evaluators, Caring Helpful Understanding Mentors (CHUMs) and our Student Focus Groups.

Student voice is highly valued and places a crucial role in driving school improvement and providing learning opportunities for students to grow as leaders and decision makers of the future.  Students are then empowered to enter the wider world being active global citizens.
