On Friday 25th May 9 Mud Clubbers set up their 1m x 1m garden to the theme of ‘A Wildlife Garden’ At RHS Wisley near Guilford.
This was the culmination of work during the club’s meeting each Wednesday after school.
It involved pupils designing the layout of the garden, making and painting frogs and butterflies, creating a water feature with a bridge, hot gluing together hedgehog houses and even researching suitable plants to encourage wildlife to visit using Chromebooks™.
The garden had to be set up within 3 hours ready for judging and was then open for public viewing over the half term holiday.
We all had a great day, including being visited by some very inquisitive ducks……and we got a silver award for our garden.
