Facilities Manager

Facilities Manager ideally required for January 2020  37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm. Starting salary Grade F – Step 1 - £32,752 (progressing to Grade G – Step 1 - £40,449 as the Trust expands to three schools) plus 25 days holiday.

Wildern Academy Trust currently comprises of Wildern School and Boorley Park Primary School. A further 7-form entry secondary school is in the planning stages. This is an exciting time for the trust and all colleagues present and future.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a positive, organised and self-motivated individual with a wide range of skills to strategically manage, maintain and develop the multiple school sites (buildings, grounds, materials, equipment and staff) so that optimum use can be made of them for school and community purposes.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
• Facilities Management responsibilities across all sites (a relevant BIFM / IWFM qualification or at least 3 years’ experience in managing a multi-site facility is essential)
• Health and Safety Management across all sites (an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification such as National General Certificate is essential)
• Management of minor building projects & service contracts across all sites (experience in writing and producing tender documents, the tender review process and managing contractors is essential)

Due to the nature of the role, strong financial acumen is key, with the ability to control costs and project manage with budgets to tight deadlines. You will have a keen eye for detail, strong organisational and interpersonal skills and be confident building relationships with suppliers and team members.
