Admissions to Wildern School

Given the current COVID 19 crisis, we are unclear how the Appeals process will operate for the 2020 Year 7 intake, we are waiting for guidance. Once we are clear we will update all appellants on how this will operate this year and when.

Our admission policy is agreed every year by school governors and placed on our website. Stakeholders are invited to make comments on any changes to our admissions policy that governors propose.  There are three admission policies below relating to in-year admissions for the current academic year, and for current Year 6 joining Year 7 in September 2020.

Admissions for Year 7 for September are administered by the local authority.  Please go to Hampshire School Admissions for more information.

If your application for a place is unsuccessful, you have a statutory right of appeal.  Information on how to appeal is below.

Admission Appeals Timetable for Year 7 in September 2020

Admissions Deadline  Saturday 31 October 2020
National notification date for on-time applications Monday 1 March 2021
Notification date for late applicants (for applications received after 31 October 2018 and before 1 March 2019)  Thursday 4 March 2021
Deadline date for parents wishing to lodge an appeal (returning completed appeal papers to the County Council or Wildern School) Monday 29 March 2021
Year 7 appeal hearings to be held TBC
Decision letters to be sent Within 5 days of hearing
